Why The Cheapest IPAF Courses Aren’t Always Better

You Shouldn’t Solely Focus on the Price

When you are looking to book an IPAF course, one of the main things on your mind is going to be the price. It’s natural to want to save money where you can, but there are quite a few reasons why purely focussing on the cost of an IPAF course might not be the best choice for you and your team. Here’s what you can expect if you focus on the price above all else and what you can do to ensure that you get the best possible training for your money instead.

It might not be the real deal

When you book an IPAF course that is far cheaper than others, then you might be paying for training that isn’t the ‘real deal’. If you want to reap all of the benefits of completing an IPAF course such as a worldwide recognised certification, then you need to be sure that you are taking your course with an accredited training centre. There are lots of providers out there professing to be an IPAF accredited training centre but aren’t, so make sure to check and then double-check this before you book which can be easily conducted on the ipaf.org website.

Corners may have been cut

We’ve all heard people say that if a price seems too good to be true, it probably is. If you find a below average price for your IPAF course, though it can be tempting to think that you have found a great price and will be the exception to the rule, sadly this is often not the case. Surprisingly cheap IPAF courses often come with lots of corners that have been cut, such as the length and quality of your training, along with a lack of course materials and is a MEWP training course rather than being accredited by IPAF. So book with a provider whose prices seem to reflect what they offer.

The quality of teaching may be lacking

When you book a place on an IPAF course, you will want to be taught by someone who has years of relevant experience to draw upon. When you book with a provider who has extremely low prices, you may be getting an instructor who just doesn’t have that level of experience. You might not think this is important, after all you are just learning from the course materials, right? Wrong! Your course instructor can give you so much insight and show you how the things you are learning can be applied back on site and when operating MEWPs.

What to look for

So how can you be sure that you are getting a good price and a good training course? The key is to do your research. Lots of course providers run special offers, just take a look to see how these compare with other training centres’ prices to see if it looks like you are getting a good deal rather than a suspicious one. You should also ask plenty of questions before, during and after booking. A provider who is evasive is one that you should avoid.

You’re all set!

You’re now ready to get out there and book an IPAF training course! While price is so important, it shouldn’t be the only thing that sways you. Happy learning!
