Millennials are probably the most controversial generation alive today. They are not really known for their good reputation, in fact they have been called ungrateful, lazy and immature. It was alleged that their qualities don’t work in their favour. However, a lot of experts have agreed that very qualities that have been claimed to go against them are actually the ones that can go in their favour to make them great entrepreneurs.

In this article I have highlighted certain key traits of millennials that allows them to establish and run new business ventures successfully. I intend to point out that unlike popular belief, the millennial generation is quite capable of becoming self-sufficient and can achieve success in the contemporary business environment.

Lack of Patience: Lack of patience is one of the key traits of the millennial generation. They don’t want to wait for long to get what they want. Some research paper has highlighted that this impatient nature which is often mistaken to be a negative quality in them but it allows them to figure out innovative ways to get around hindrances. Since, they don’t want to wait, they are constantly looking for more time efficient methods of operations. As a result, it makes them highly efficient at running day to day business activities.  The go-getter attitude of the millennials motivates them to think outside the conventional processes of business. This nature also makes the highly self-reliant, thereby making them capable of taking their own decisions.

Low Attention Span: It has been alleged that the millennials are characterised by very low attention span and that they cannot fixate their focus on something that they are working. However, it has been found that millennials have the ability not settle for anything less that what they deserve. This is why if they find themselves stuck with something that they are even remotely unfit for, they are most likely to get out of it. This behavioural tendency is likely to make them look for career options that best fits their preferences, skills and abilities. Thus, millennials are most likely to land on careers that are best suitable for them, whether be it hospitality or custom essay writing service. From the perspective of entrepreneurial ventures, a millennial will always start up a business that he likes, which puts him/her in a work that he enjoys.

Addicted to Fame and Fortune: It is often alleged that the millennials are addicted to fame and always wants the spotlight. Although it might be true to a large degree but, it also helps them to succeed in their venture. Their urge to seek fame drives them to take big leaps in business development. They want their business to achieve higher brand recognition among the stakeholders, which will eventually make them famous. It may be true that some of them even take unethical means to gain fame, but at the same time it also highlights their determination to achieve their objectives.

Internet Obsessed: Yes, it is true that the millennials are obsessed with the internet and some might even say that they are addicted to it. They try to find everything from the internet, even essay help. However, their obsession with the online world makes them quite conversant with the use of social media to attract their audience. Since they are so involved with this platform they can quite effectively use it promote their brand. The social media has become one of the most effective marketing tools in the contemporary business environment. Therefore, their awareness and knowledge about the use of the platforms makes it easier for them to leverage it in favour of their business.

Lack of Business Experience: It might be true that the millennials do not have sufficient experience about running a traditional business. But their lack of knowledge is bridged by their innovative, unique approach to problem solving and use of modern technology. They tend to develop new business models and operations processes that separated them from the traditional firms. This is quite evident from any high quality paper on business written by them.

Most of the millennial traits are perceived as negative qualities, but in truth these qualities can be sharpened to be used in their favour. This generation has some key traits that can be leveraged to achieve entrepreneurial success in the long term, and should not stereotyped by the previous generations.
